Roger Harrison - Class Of 1984

Roger Alan Harrison

JULY 26, 1962 – OCTOBER 16, 2022

Roger Alan Harrison was born on July 26, 1962 and passed away on October 16, 2022 at the age of 60.

Roger had a way of bringing an aura of strength into a room—he was a silent leader and protector. Roger and Michelle were married for thirty-one years. Roger and Michelle were both devoted to their daughters and made a daily effort to set good examples through action. He was a kind man, a loving husband, and a magnificent father.

Roger loved his daughters more than life itself. He viewed his role as a parent was to give Ashley and Lauren a life that was better than his own, and he certainly accomplished that. He led a life that exemplified hard work, tenacity, and compassion. It was also no secret Roger was a brother to his friends and would move mountains for them. Although he was a man of few words (most of the time), he had a sense of humor that would bring you to tears and a charisma that was unmatched.

Roger had a coach’s heart, and he found a way to mentor others through his work. Roger was in the logistics business for over thirty years. The high stress, the demands, the hours, the employees, he loved all of it. Roger worked until he could no longer communicate. He found a way to contribute as long as could, because he truly wanted to make a difference.

He left this world a better place because of the beautiful family he raised, the footprint he left in the workplace and the impact he made on countless others’ hearts. We will never forget you, dear man.

Roger was a brave man and a warrior, and faced ALS with unwavering strength. Although Roger ultimately succumbed to ALS, his ability to handle the challenges of the disease with grace and dignity outshined the low points.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bibb Harrison, and his mother, Bernice Harrison. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Harrison, and his daughters, Ashley Nicole Turner and Lauren Michelle Harrison.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at The Woodlands Methodist Church, (Robb Chapel) 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands TX 77380 at 1:00pm Friday, October 21, 2022. A reception will follow.
