Craig Dickey

Craig Morrison Dickey, Jr. was born September 12, 1943 in Ganado Texas. He passed away unexpectedly at home in Richardson, Texas on January 19, 2017. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 34 years Brenda Brown Dickey, daughters Monica (Bryce) Dial, and Michelle (Chris) Tewell, granddaughters Hayley and Brena Dial, sister- in-law Barbara (Brown) and Truman Casey both of whom he loved dearly. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, he was a member of Delta Sigma Fraternity. He retired from Alcatel in 2001 after 36 years as Asst. Vice President of Sales. Craig was the consummate gentleman, proud of his family heritage and its deep roots in South Texas history. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing especially while at his beloved ranch. Craig and Brenda were passionate world travelers and cherished the unforgettable experiences they enjoyed for over 30 years. They were avid golfers and traveled the world playing courses from Pebble Beach to Maui to the mountains of Korea and beyond.He was a gifted chef who loved to entertain friends with his grilled delights by the pool. There was never a shortage of food at the Dickey house! A Celebration of Craig's life will be held 11:00am Friday February 24, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 503 N Central EXPY, Richardson TX 75080.
