Mr. Richard E. Floyd, Jr., 71 of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, October 31, 2014 in a local nursing home. 

Mr. Floyd was born August 10, 1943 in Bloomberg, Texas. He was owner of the Floyd Insurance Agency. 

He is survived by his wife, Helen Floyd of Gainesville, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Bethani Floyd of Texarkana, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Jimena and Miguel Castellanos of Texarkana, Texas; two step-sons, Harley and Ryan Means of Gainesville, Florida; two brothers, Roger Floyd of Medford, Oregon, and Randy Floyd of Salem, Oregon; three grandchildren, Gabriel and Sophia Floyd and Fransesca Castellanos; and many other relatives.
