Aubrey Samuel "Sam" Warren

Aubrey Samuel "Sam" Warren, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and wonderful friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 15th, 2021. Sam was born in Borger, Texas, on February 14th, 1943.

Sam was our special Valentine. He spent many years as a science teacher and coach in Linden-Kildare CISD, Texarkana ISD, and retired from Southlake Carroll ISD in 2011. He was a favorite of staff and students alike everywhere he went. The family wishes to thank Holy Savior Hospice and the staff at Texas Health Alliance Hospital for their tender care during his final days.

Sam is survived by a brother, George Warren, a sister, Sandra Bowden, his loving wife, Doctor Susanne Warren, three children, Lee Warren, Claire Vasquez (Tony), and Katie Fairchild (Nathan), five grandchildren, Tori, Zack, Libbie, Andrew, and Vivian, one great-grandchild, Keelan, and his beloved shelter dog, Harper Lee.

A celebration of Sam’s life will be held on June 5th, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Linden, Texas, at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your local animal shelter or the National Kidney Foundation.
