James Dean Dollens

MARCH 15, 1955 – JULY 10, 2022

James Dollens, age 67, of Deer Park, TX, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022.

He was born March 15, 1955, in Waco Texas. James graduated from Texas City High School in 1973 and completed a double major in accounting and finance from Stephen F. Austin State University where he did his fair share of carousing with fellow Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity Brothers. He had a successful career throughout the U.S. and abroad and made several life-long friends while working in contract administration for Brown & Root, KBR, and Halliburton. 

Since retiring, he became an active member of The Moose Lodge, Pasadena Chapter, and quickly shined as a Jack of all Trades and was recognized as the 2021 Moose of the Year! He was a southern gentleman who touched many lives with his generous acts of service and charm.

James enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cruising on his bikes, traveling, doing yard work, watching old westerns, and spoiling his “girls” (the dogs) Molly and Gigi.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Frances Dollens, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and son-in-law, Jason. 

James is survived by his loving wife, Robin Simmons, and her son Eric; the mother of his children, Mitzi Dollens; children, Nikki Kipina and her husband Kevin, Jared Dollens and his wife Brandy, Chrissy Dollens and her husband Edgardo, and Clint Dollens; grandchildren, Brittney, Cole, Austin, James, Shay, Sara, Jakob, Kristen, and Gabby; cousins Terry ,Sharon, Larry, Mike and Buddy along with other family members and friends. 

Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2022 5pm-8pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 15, 2022 at 10am. Both services will be held at Grand View Funeral Home located at 8501 Spencer Hwy. Pasadena, TX 77505. The graveside will immediately follow at 12pm at Galveston Memorial Park Hitchcock TX, 77563
